東アジアの経済発展と香港ディズニーランドの開園  [in Japanese] Economic Development in East Asia & Opening of Hong Kong Disneyland  [in Japanese]

Abstract

The opening of Hong Kong Disneyland in 12 Sep. 2005 is not only a starting business in one tourism company, but also a beginning of public practice by Hong Kong Government driveninto a corner as a result of development of East Asian economy especially Chinese economy. It means that the economic development in East Asia included Hong Kong needs the development of a market economy as well as a planned economy. We are not yet clear whether Hong Kong Disneyland will become a last resort for the regeneration of Hong Kong's economy or not, but it is not too much to say that the position of Hong Kong will decline relatively with the development of globalization and international division of labor, further development of Chinese economy, and the east coastal cities in China's mainland becoming megalopolis. But this also means that absolutely, as a whole, more and more visitors, merchandises, and money capital will move through Hong Kong.
