ファイバースコープによるGiant Panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca)の子宮内授精法の試み(短報)(臨床繁殖学) A Trial of Intrauterine Insemination Using a Fiberscope in the Giant Panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca)(Theriogenology)

ファイバースコープによるジャイアントパンダの子宮内授精法を検討した.その結果,外陰部から約5cmの部位に隔壁があり,腹側部には外尿道口,背側部には腟へつながる入口(偽頸管)が存在した.偽頸管から約15cm奥の背側に隆起した子宮腟腹部が認められ,この部位に外子宮口が存在し,カテーテルによる子宮内授精が容易に行えることが明らかとなった.この技術は,ジャイアントパンダの人工繁殖に大いに貢献できるものと考えられた.

An intrauterine insemination technique using a fiberscope was investigated in the giant panda. A septal wall was present about 5cm from the vulva, the external urethral orifice was present in the ventral region, and the entrance (pseudocervix) to the vagina was present in the dorsal region. The uterovaginal region protruded in the dorsal region about 15cm from the pseudocervix. The external uterine orifice was present in the uterovaginal region, revealing that intrauterine insemination can be easily performed. This technique may greatly contribute to artificial reproduction of the giant panda.
