触覚的協調作業の端末間同期制御における端末ロックが力知覚に与える影響(ネットワーク品質,トラヒック計測,一般)  [in Japanese] Effect of Terminal Locking on User's Perception of Feedback Force in a Haptic Collaborative Work  [in Japanese]

Abstract

力覚ディスプレイを用いた協同作業において、端末間のタイミングを合わせるために、遅延の小さい端末においては、遅延の遅い端末に情報が届くまで、次のアクションがおこせないように力覚ディスプレイを動かなくすることがある。この端末のロックにより、ユーザはロック解除後に力覚ディスプレイの出力を歪んで知覚する可能性がある。本研究では、端末をロックする時間がその後の弾性力の知覚に与える影響を心理物理学的手法を用いて検討した。その結果、端末のロックによりユーザは弾性を実際より大きく感じ、その程度はロック時間が長いほど大きいことが明らかになった。

Networked collaborative works with haptic displays often require inter-destination control by which all users obtain information simultaneously. A method of inter-destination control is to lock the terminals (haptic displays) which reached information earlier than the others. This terminal locking method potentially has a problem about the user's perception after the terminal is unlocked. We used a psychophysical method to measure how much a user's subjective impression of elastic force associated with durations of terminal locking deviated from the original physical elasticity. The results showed that users' point of subjective equality (PSE) for their subjective impression of elastic force as the duration of terminal locking increased.
