Abstract

In this paper, we measured movement of horse's right back leg and displacement of various part of the rider. Jar (up and down motion) during trotting was measured, relation to the rider's motion. The rider was sitting in the saddle without bouncing on the saddle. We've found the movement of the horseback absorbed into the rider's waist, knees, and ankles. From our measurement, we've found. There are two causes that make a beginner feel fear in riding a horse. One is that the body of a horse moves unsteadily. The other is that eye position is much higher (2.20 to 2.30m. above the ground) on the horseback than that on the ground.
