Abstract
This paper presents the measurement technique for detecting the inclination of slender object positioned in 3D space. The technique is based on digital holography and the inplane angle and depth angle are detected from the 3D volume of light intensity numerically reconstructed from an hologram pattern observed with an electronic camera. The two angles are determined based on the positions in depth measured for all parts of slender object in the technique. The accuracy of the present method in inclination measurement is evaluated in numerical simulation to show that the RMS error in depth angle is less than 1deg for the given angle of 45deg.
