Abstract

Recently, deep underground drainage tunnels are under construction for flood control in urban area. Such drainage tunnels are temporarily ventilated while cleaning up inflow objects and sludge or inspecting after earthquakes. Various ventilation system studies are necessary to secure satisfactory O_2 density. These studies need to develop ventilation simulation method to examine. A proposed Hybrid Ventilation Simulation method consists of two categories. One is named Macro analysis based on graph theory in which drainage tunnels are modeled with links and nodes. The other is named Micro analysis based on LES or k-ε model CFD. Based on comparison of experimental data with simulated data, Macro analysis has possibility to have satisfactory agreement with experiments by modification of resistance coefficient and introducing effects of circulation by natural convection which are simulated by Micro analysis.
