Abstract

This study is aimed develop new method to design off-shore wind farms close to very large city. MM5 is used to simulate wind flow around Tokyo bay area. CFD simulation reads the result from MM5 model as initial and boundary condition for pseudo-compressibility method and Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model. Furthermore, the result from CFD simulation is used for landscape simulation which visualizes air flow around wind turbine with Mixed Reality. This system can provide new method to evaluate wind flow and visual landscape at the same time for more conceivable understanding of planned wind farm.
