抄録

The performance of keyboard instruments has a visuomotor sequence aspect. Some previous studies of visuomotor sequence, in forms similar to keyboard instrument playing, were reviewed, and issues discussed in these studies were collated and cited in order to set out the issues involved in keyboard instrument performance and skill acquisition. Based on this, points which could be said or supposed to be characteristic of keyboard instrument performance skill acquisition were mentioned, and keyboard instrument performance was discussed from the point of view of the ways in which it differs from general motor sequences.
