合板工場において捕獲された甲虫類(I) : フライング・インターセプション・トラップの利用  [in Japanese] Coleopteran insects collected in plywood factories : Use of flying interception trapping methods  [in Japanese]

我が国では,ヒラタキクイムシ類をはじめとする乾材害虫による無処理広葉樹合板への被害が恒常的に報告されている.乾材害虫の発生箇所を特定するためには,合板の製造過程および流通過程における被害の有無を検証することが必要である.本研究では,国内の合板工場における乾材害虫汚染の有無を確認することを目的として,2006年4月から9月の間,全国10ヵ所の合板工場においてフライング・インターセプション・トラップ(FIT)を設置し,捕獲した昆虫類のうち甲虫類の同定を行った.その結果,28科103種335個体が同定された.今回のトラップ設置期間で採取された昆虫類の多くは,貯穀害虫および屋外より燈火に飛来したと思われる野外生息性甲虫類であり,木材を摂食する昆虫は含まれていなかった.

Damage to non-treated hardwood plywood by wood-infesting insects such as powder-post beetles is an ongoing problem in Japan. We investigated the invasion of wood-infesting beetles into some domestic plywood factories using a flying interception trap (FIT). The survey was conducted in ten plywood factories for a month each during the period from April to September 2006. The results of the trappings were the identification of 355 beetles of 103 species from 28 families. Trapped insects were not wood infesting, but usually inhabited the outdoors but invaded into the factories as they flew to the light.
