抄録

This study clarifies the actual conditions and the view of Fukei-zukuri and the community-scape design which started from the Assets of Local Scenery. The activities of residents grew wide and active once they made their Fukei-zukuri image clear. By our analysis of those activities, there are four types of development of Fukei-zukuri: 1) practical use of Assets, 2 ) embodiment of image, 3) the effect of design to neighbors, 4) management of public spaces by residents. The Fukei-zukuri by the residents has certain possibilities which grew to a larger scale of official plans such as City Planning and District Plan.
