抄録

The purpose of this research was to clarify the effect of the disparity between the support expected and the support received by public junior high school teachers in Japan, on their mental health and job satisfaction. Data was gathered, by means of a questionnaire survey, from 55 public junior high school teachers. The results were as follows : (1) The disparity between the expected emotional support and the received emotional support had positive effect on their anger and depression. (2) The disparity between the expected instrumental support and the received instrumental support had positive effect on their depression and apathy. (3) The disparity between the expected support and the received support did not relate to the job satisfaction.
