アメリカ連邦議会図書館の戦略(<特集>国立図書館のパースペクティヴ)  [in Japanese] The strategic plan of the U.S. Library of Congress(<Special feature> Perspective on National Libraries)  [in Japanese]

立法府のなかに設置されるという国立図書館の姿としては少数派に属しながらも,'著作権登録制度'(copyright deposit system)をも活用しつつ,世界最大の国立図書館として国内外に君臨しているアメリカ連邦議会図書館の'戦略'を同図書館が公表している「戦略計画2004-2008」と連邦議会上下両院議長に提出された「議会図書館長年次報告」2005会計年度版を手がかりとして紹介し,論じる。同図書館は,戦略構想局(Office of Strategic Initiatives)を中心として既存資料のデジタル化とデジタルコンテンツのインターネット上での公開を強力に推進しており,国内外に開かれたサイバー・(インター)ナショナル・ライブラリーの実現を目指している。

This paper illustrates and discusses the Strategic Plan of the U.S. Library of Congress, the data and facts of which are extracted from 2 documents, Annual Report of the Librarian of Congress for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2005 and Strategic Plan (of the Library) 2004-2008. Now it is the largest analog-library in the world partially based on copyright deposit system, and lots of initiatives and programs are making the Library a model of the 21st century libraries, which stands as a national and international cyber-library.
