K高等学校の生徒指導改革の一考察 : 生徒指導部のカードによる指導が、生徒の容儀を変えた  [in Japanese] Effect of Violation Tickets on Student Guidance : Change in Students' Behavior(Liberal Arts)  [in Japanese]

Abstract

人権意識の高揚は、体罰やセクハラなど、教師が生徒の人権を侵害する行為は是正されたものの、人権という言葉を自分勝手に解釈し、教師の指導を拒否する生徒が出現した。教育現場では、人権意識が教師の指導を躊躇させ、指導の混乱を招くケースが多々ある。特に生徒指導部に所属する教師は、服装容儀などについての指導が困難をきわめている。ここでは、佐世保市内で容儀指導の顰蹙をかっていたK高等学校が、生徒指導部を中心とした教師集団の協力により、カード指導を始めてから三ヶ月も経過しない間に、生徒の容儀が一変し、他校の教師や地域の人々から称賛を得るようになった生徒指導の成功例から、人権と深い関係にある容儀指導を人権や教育観、生徒との関わり方などについて考察し、生徒指導改革にはどのような条件整備が現場の教職員には必要なのかを検討する。

In the course of efforts to promote human rights, there have been cases of students who have rejected the guidance of their teachers, by interpreting the concept of human rights in their own personal way, despite the fact that behavior on the part of teachers that used to violate human rights, such as corporal punishment and sexual harassment have already been eliminated. In the classroom, a heightened awareness of human rights can hinder the teacher in his efforts at guidance, and cause confusion. In particular, teachers who belong to the guidance section of their schools often find it extremely difficult to implement the student dress and deportment codes. K High School highly disapproved of the behavior within the Sasebo City limits of some of its students. Concerted efforts by all the teachers, coordinated by the guidance section, have achieved results. In less than three months since the code violation system was first implemented, the students changed their undesirable behavior. K has gained the admiration of other high schools and the local residents. By referring to this case of the successful implementation of student guidance, which after all has such a profound relationship with human rights, we can consider what we need to do to improve student guidance from the human rights and educational points of view, and also restructure the guidance requirement, Moreover, as part of this reformation of student guidance, we can study what kind of adjustments in conditions are necessary for the teaching staff to make.
