Abstract
In this paper I will explore how politically every prefecture's administration was in promoting equality at work and at home for female teachers in Japan. I have ever explored the promotion of equality for married female teachers, focusing on the decade from 1917 to 1927. And I have examined the facts when and how they discussed the connditions of them and demanded their equal rights, both at work and at home. As I consequently get the materials with discussed descriptions married female teachers in eight prefectures and two cities, I will precisely analyze these materials by clssifying them according to subjects ; (1) Child-Care Supporting (2) Equality at Work and at Home (3) Raising the Status of Women.
