眼底画像における動脈狭窄検出のための主幹血管の認識法(Poster2)  [in Japanese] Recognition Method of Main-stem Vessels for Arteriolar Narrowing Detection on Retinal Fundus Images  [in Japanese]

Abstract

われわれは眼底画像の血管像をコンピュータで解析することによって,動脈狭窄の程度を定量的に評価し,眼科医の診断を支援するコンピュータ支援診断システムを開発してきた.本システムは,眼底画像から血管領域の抽出を行い,動静脈の分類,主幹血管の認識を行った後,動静脈血管比によって動脈狭窄を検出する.動脈狭窄の検出には,主幹血管の認識が重要である.そこで,本研究では,血管径に基づいた主幹血管の認識法を提案する.80枚の眼底画像に本手法を適用した結果,主幹血管の認識率は97%,主幹血管以外の削除率は93%であった.また,動脈狭窄の検出率は真陽性率81%のときに偽陽性数は画像1枚あたり3.3本であり,本手法の有用性を確認した.

We have been developing a computer-aided diagnosis system for early detection of arteriolar narrowing on retinal fundus images. Our scheme consists of extraction of blood vessel, classification of artery and vain, recognition of main-stem vessel, and detection of arteriolar narrowing by the artery-vain diameter ratio. Recognition of main-stem vessel is important for improving the performance of the detection. Therefore, we propose recognition method of main-stem vessels based on blood-vessel diameter. Eighty images were used to estimate our scheme. As a result, the sensitivity for detection arteriolar narrowing was 81% with 3.3 false-positive vessels per image. Therefore, the technique we proposed in this study may be useful for detection of arteriolar narrowing.
