Abstract

顔処理に特化された脳の機能部野(Fusiform Face Area)で顔以外の刺激(建物など)に対しても賦活かおることが観測されている。本研究では、神経組織でおきる抑制現象を利用した刺激パラダイムと機能的MRIを用いて顔処理部野の特性を調べた。

Fusiform face area which is known as specialized for face processing shows activation to other stimuli such as buildings. In this study we studied the characteristics of the Fusiform face area by using a stimulus paradigm which can induce suppression in neuronal units.
