Abstract
For experimental investigation of synchronous rotating cavitation in an inducer, variation of the cavity length was observed in liquid nitrogen at 78K. Inlet pressure of the inducer was controlled with a given sequence set two patterns, i.e., decreasing rapidly and increasing slowly. It was found that there are some patterns on the unevenness of the cavity length under the synchronous rotating cavitation. Fluid force caused by the synchronous rotating cavitation interferes in the rotor dynamics.
