Abstract

In this research, the influence that the frequency of the inserted sound wave disturbance gave to the characteristic of fully developed circular turbulent jet was examined. The turbulent intensity of excitation is set at 0.1% of the jet mean velocity and the excitation frequency is changed from 100 to 600Hz. By way of conditional sampling procedure, both the periodic velocity caused by coherent motions and the non-periodic velocity are analyzed. The velocity distributions of the flow field were evaluated the appearance of the jet flow oscillation was observed.
