Abstract
For the purpose of the promotion of the jet diffusion, the experiment of the flow visualization of the jet flow issuing from the circular pipe with the fluttering fins has been carried out. The images were obtained by the LIF method using the system of the dual-pulse Nd: YAG-laser and CCD-camera. The wavelet multi-resolution analysis was applied to the images obtained from the LIF method, and the variation of the flow structure was investigated. By using these result, the effects of the length of the fin on the flow structure was studied. As a result, in the case of the flow with the fin having 1.5 times as the pipe diameter, the centroid of the flow structure moves with the jet. However, for the fin length over this, the centroid swings largely with the jet fluctuation.
