Abstract
In offshore wind farm, when wind turbines are placed closely each other, a wind turbine is strongly affected by the wake of others. For the wake, a velocity deficit, a fluctuation of output of power, and an increase of fatigue of wind turbine are caused. Hence, a design tool of wind turbine with wake effects is needed. The aim of this research is to obtain a basic study of three-dimensional wake simulation near a wind turbine to make an effective wake model for design. The object of this simulation is wind turbine blade which is experimented by National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The flow field is calculated with a Detached-Eddy-Simulation (DES).
