2614 PIV measurement of pendelluft flow in PDMS micro-channel of a bronchiole model

Abstract

Various respiratory diseases due to air pollutions and pollutants tend to increase. It is very important to bring toward reason that we investigate the flow of similar lung model. Several studies have been made on respiratory flow model in numerous studies of experimental and theoretically. We investiged the pendelluft and oscillatory flow using micro PIV, gas phase particle and syringe pump in adult normal breathing condition. The pendelluft flow of single bronchial channel are generated by high frequency and low flow rate. This paper discusses the pendelluft and oscillatory flow during normal breathing in a single bifurcation PDMS micro channel.
