Abstract
This paper describes the modeling method of vehicle's IPS (Integral Power Steering) system. Taking IPS's hydraulic circuit as study object, constructs its simulation model. The dynamics of control valve and power cylinder is considered as well as the flow characteristics and compressibility of oil. Because this model is made by Simulink, it can be applied to real-time simulation, HILS (Hardware In the Loop Simulation) and control etc. conveniently. This research is part of the development of a control system based on active front steering system which is for the improvement of controllability, stability and safety of driver-vehicle-control system.
