Abstract

This paper firstly introduces the design concept of a hydraulic rotary control valve that has been uniquely developed by one of the authors. It has a feature of the low cost productivity, pressure balance on the rotational parts, unti-contamination and so on compared with the other conventional servo valves. Secondly, the basic characteristics are experimentally demonstrated such as unloaded flow rate characteristics against the input signal of the rotational angle. In addition, the validity of experimental control flow characteristics against load pressure is examined by the calculation curves based on the design specifications.
