The shift to aging society is progressing rapidly in advanced nations including Japan, and the demand for the nursing equipment is increasing. A comfort-chair-type power assist chair is produced and researched in this laboratory. The power assist chair is a chair that assists motion of stand-up and sit-down by lifting the seat up and down slowly. Compressor and external equipments that behave with a compressor are necessary to operate the power assistance chair, and the noise of a compressor is heavy. Here the dry-ice power cell is researched in KITAGAWA and TSUKAGOSHI laboratory in Tokyo institute of technology. The dry ice power cell don't need external equipments and isn't noisy. The purpose of this research is to use this dry-ice power cell to operate the power assistance chair, and solve above-mentioned problems.
