Abstract
A simulation tool for evaluation of tunnel ventilation system was developed, which assumed one-dimensional model including diffusion expression. It can carry out unsteady state simulation. To verify accuracy of estimation, unsteady state simulation results, flow velocity and CO/smoke concentration., which were based on real varying traffic data were compared with measured values at real tunnel. As a result, it was indicated that presumption of natural ventilation force was important to obtain a good simulation results in the case which traffic piston effect and fan effect were relatively small.
