The surge often damages compression system including a centrifugal compressor. Therefore, suppressing surges is essential for industrial applications. The authors developed an active surge control methods using a small control valve at exit plenum. In this paper, we describe an active control method of surge using a small control valve at inlet duct. Our experimental results verified this method's effectiveness.
