Abstract
The velocity of the pulp stock jet which blow out from head-box onto the wire part of a paper machine is generally set consciously differ from about±1-2% against the running speed of the wire fabric. This reason is that the fiber orientation intensity characteristics of the paper web are closely correlate with some quality characteristics of the final paper web. However the transition states of the speed of the pulp stock on the wire fabric had not been clear until now. This paper describes the measurement result of the transition states of the surface speed of the pulp stock on the wire fabric by changes in the jet/wire speed ratio of actual paper machine.
