This study analyze the instability of Taylor vortex flow with a small aspect ratio experimentally. Developing process of Couette-Taylor vortex flow is visualized. To visualize the flow, the aluminum poweder or fluorescence particles are mixed into a solution of glycerol. The mode formation processes of stable Taylor vortex flow are observed. The profiles of the velocity components are analyzed using PIV method.
