Abstract
I investigated the Oroka-bridge of Fukui-castle through the drowings of its castle town, the old building plan, the old photograph. The Oroka-bridge with the roof was existing surely from the Shoho period to the early Era of Meiji. That was built in 8 kens lenngth, in 2 kens wide, and was gabled building with the hiwada or the kokera roof, and was with the plastered wall, the siding board, the lattice window. That was a difference in construction from the normal bridge with the roof, and that's post was stood on the center of girder.
