Abstract

The Epermeniidae of Japan are revised. Five species already known from Japan, Phaulernis fulviguttella, P. chasanica, Epermenia strictella, E. muraseae, E. thailandica, and two unrecorded species, P. pulchra, E. sinjovi, are redescribed. Six new species from Japan, E. sugisimai, E. ijimai, E. shimekii, E. uedai, E. fuscomaculata, E. pseudofuscomaculata, are described. All species are illustrated.
