Abstract

The genus Gerontha Walker, 1864 is recorded from Hainan Island, China for the first time. Gerontha flexura sp. nov. is described and illustrated. The new species can be distinguished from other Gerontha species by the slender aedeagus which is curved ventrally near the apex and the spindle-shaped process arising from dorso-proximal base of valva.
