日本新記録のツゲモドキヒメハマキ(新称) Metendothenia mesarotra (Meyrick)とその幼生期の記載 First record of Metendothenia mesarotra (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera, Tortricidae, Olethreutinae) from Japan, with descriptions of the immature stages

Abstract

2005年7月,筆者の一人富永は沖縄県知念村でツゲモドキを摂食している見慣れないヒメハマキガ幼虫を発見した.羽化成虫を検討したところ,日本新記録のツゲモドキヒメハマキ(新称) Metendothenia mesarotra (Meyrick)であることが判明した.本種の幼生期の形態が初めて報告された.本種は日本の同属の種とは,前翅後縁中央部に大きなオリーブ色の三角紋をもつこと,バルバ先端が尖ることで区別できる. 分有.ジャバ島,ソロモン諸島,日本(沖縄).寄主植物.ムクロジ科:Mischocarpus sundaicus Blume (Robinson et al., 2001);トウダイグサ科:ツゲモドキ Drypetes matsumurae (Koidz.) Kanehira.幼虫は寄生植物の葉を合わせるかあるいは1枚の葉を祈り曲げて,その中に潜み,葉の表面を摂食する.沖縄ではおそらく年数化すると思われる.

In July 2005, larvae of Metendothenia mesarotra (Meyrick) feeding on Drypetes matsumurae (Euphorbiaceae) were found in Chinen-son, Okinawa Pref. The moth is added to the Japanese moth fauna, and descriptions of the last instar larva and pupa given for the first time. The adult, larva and pupa are illustrated.
