In 2005, Japan became the most accelerated "aging society with fewer children" in the world. Consequently, Japanese Government made it obligatory from April 2006 for companies to extend the retirement age up to 65 years old, by executing Revised Law Concerning Stabilization of Employment of Older Persons. The purpose of this study is to set up the job standard of appropriate for the middle-aged and the elderly workers in terms of "weary" and "awkward". Fourteen job standards in assembly line for particularly the elderly workers (less than 65 years old) are obtained from the results of experiments to measure physical strength and capacity to work.
