Adventure education aims to foster IKIRU CHIKARA(zest for living)from obtaining selfconfidence, developing interpersonal relationships, and understanding relationships of natural environments and people through experiences in natural environments that require to face oneself, others, and difficulties to overcome. Positive effects that natural environments own have been proven in the area of preventive medical science and health promotion. However, effective utilization and maintenance of forest environments for adventure education have not been studied. In this study, a creative adventure program utilizing forest environments were developed in order to foster participants'sensitivities, and a series of investigations were conducted to collect information for future practices. Findings include(1)activities in the natural environments activated participants'brain waves, and(2)participants'expectations for achievement increased as the process of a program, while participants'anxieties decreased. Based on this study, suggestions were made:(1)adventure program should support children's creativity and imagination rather than providing activities that initiated by leaders; and (2)forest environments need to be maintained in order that children feel safe, comfortable, and curious.
