Abstract

光増幅中継伝送路におけるNRZあるいはRZ強度変調信号のアイ開口劣化特性は,ファイバ中の小信号近似解析結果と,送信信号波形と受信器フィルタ特性をもとに,ほぼ推定することができることを示す.これは,分散が均一な伝送路でも,配置された伝送路でも,分散あるいは平均分散が正常分散領域にあれば成り立つ.この結果と数値解析を通して,NRZ信号,RZ信号の伝送特性を議論する.

Small signal analysis of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation, combining with the pulse waveform of the transmitter output and the baseband filter characteristics of the receiver, enables eye opening penalties of NRZ and RZ signals to be estimated in long-distance in-line amplifier systems. This is correct in the normal dispersion region, even for the dispersion-managed lines. Numerical analysis and the small signal analysis clarify transmission characteristics of NRZ and RZ signals.
