抄録

This research aims to investigate the current state and the issues of food and nutrition educators in Kagoshima Prefecture. The new law on food and nutrition educator started in 2005, in Japan. In 2007, Kagoshima, 144 dietitians have become the food and nutrition educators, and the converted ratio is the highest in Japan. In a few years all of dietitians will become the food and nutrition educators. Diet education law was also established in 2005, and the Enhancing program of food and nutrition education from 2006 to 2010 was constructed. Since the food and nutrition educators were expected to do a lot of roles on enhancement of food and nutrition education but they don't have enough time and money, they have been confronting some difficulties, e.g. overwork, learning new skills for classroom practices, being misunderstood the food and nutrition education by others in school and community.
