【目的】産後の女性が電話相談,育児相談などのサービスに対して,どのくらいの費用負担をしてもよいと考えているかを明らかにすることを目的とする。【方法】対象は産褥1ヵ月健康診査を受診した女性205名で,対象施設に質問紙を一括郵送し,個別に郵送にて回収した。調査内容は,年齢,分娩回数,家族構成,最終学歴,就業の有無,世帯収入などと,価格算出について産褥施設,電話相談,外来での育児相談と母乳相談,家庭訪問について行った。【結果】女性が受容できる価格は,電話相談は30分900円,育児相談は30分1,500円,母乳相談は30分1,800円,家庭訪問は60分2,500円であった。【考察】母親が1回に支払うことができる金額は2,000円前後である。現在,再診料のみ,あるいは無料でこれらのサービスを提供している施設もあり,行政が行う家庭訪問は「ただ」である。このような要因が支払ってもよいと思う値段に影響していると考える。一方,2,000円内外は料金を請求することが可能であるとも考えられる。無料,再診料のみでサービスを提供するよりも一定の金額であってもきちんと費用を負担してもらうことでサービス提供者の意識を高め,サービスの質を担保する動機づけにつながると考える。
[Objective] A survey of new mothers was conducted in order to determine how much of a cost burden is acceptable for services such as telephone counseling and child care advice. [Methods] 205 females who visited for the one-month postpartum check-up were the subjects. Data was collected by sending questionnaires to the respective institutions and then collected individually by mail. The contents of the survey included age, number of births, family structure, highest level of education, with or without work, household income, price estimation for telephone counseling, child care and breast-feeding advice at the clinic, and home visits. [Results] Fair prices were determined to be: 900 yen per 30 minutes for telephone counseling, 1,500 yen per 30 minutes for child care advice, 1,800 yen per 30 minutes for breast-feeding advice, and 2,500 yen per 60 minutes for home visits. [Discussion] The price that mothers can afford each time is around 2,000 yen. Currently, there are some institutions which provide these services only for a re-consultation fee or free of charge, and home visits performed by the administration is "free". These factors are considered to influence the prices which the mothers think are affordable. On the other hand, invoicing for about 2,000 yen is considered possible. Raising the awareness of the service providers by getting mothers to pay a certain amount rather than providing services for free or only with a re-consultation fee is considered to be likely to lead to motivation ensuring improved quality of the services.
