A phytophagous micro-moth, Acrolepiopsis issikiella (Moriuti) has been known as a univoltine species. The larvae feed on seeds in the the capsule of Dioscorea spp. (Dioscoreaceae) from late summer to middle autumn and the adults emerge and then overwinter. Recently, I found that the moth has several generations a year, and the larvae tunnel the stems, or eat the leaves of D. tokoro Makino from early summer to autumn.
