The purpose of the paper is to examine the roles and rights of users in university education for training care specialists, to describe the author's implementation of user involving training of the social work professional education and to analyze its educational benefits. Our method for creating visual aids was characterized by the establishment of a project involving an interagency, interprofessional team of 41 members and a collaborative effort in visualization involving the provision of scripts based on the actual experiences of users of psychiatric services. Analysis was characterized by the use of conversation analysis to investigate interactions among project participants. The results showed that collaboration with users in the creation of visual aids promotes mutual discussion among participants and that collaborative work itself contributes to education.
