抄録

We have observed elementary growth steps of glucose isomerase (GI) crystals by using a laser confocal-diferencial interference contrast microscope at 45MPa, for the first time. Growth mode of the GI crystals at 45MPa was a two-dimensional (2D) nucleation growth mode of a poly-nucleation type. Both step growth rates and 2D nucleation rates increased with increasing pressure.
