医療における統計学の役割(<特集>医療の効率化)  [in Japanese]

Abstract

医療の適正使用のためには,その使用の根拠は科学的な証拠に基づく必要がある.clarity,comparability,generalizabilityの3つの目標を達成した研究デザインによる科学的な証拠の創造と,得られた結果の解析・評価の両面で,統計学はEBM実現のために決定的に重要な役割を果たす.本稿ではコレステロール低下作用のあるプラバスタチンという薬剤の長期投与によって,高脂血症患者に対する,心血管系疾患発症抑制効果の検証を目的に行われた大規模臨床研究であるMEGA studyの事例に基づいて,医療における統計学の役割について解説する.
