A measurement of cavitation noise or a detailed engineering evaluation of results of noise measurements will require investigation of the background noise and acoustic characteristics in cavitation tunnel. In this paper are discribed problems of noise measurements in cavitation tunnel of Shipbuilding Research Centre of Japan, and an example for cavitation noise measurements of a model propeller.
