12-6 499GT型内航貨物船の水槽試験結果について : 船尾形状による影響  [in Japanese] 12-6 On the Results of Tank Test of Home-Waters Cargo Vessels of 499GT Type : Effects of Aft Bodys  [in Japanese]

The Shipbuilding Research Centre of Japan carried out tank tests on two model ships with large propeller diameter for 499GT type of home-waters cargo ships, according to the request of the Maritime Credit Corporation. The parent of the model ships is M.S. No. 3704A with a conventional model propeller, the test results of which was published in SRC Technical Note 11, 1983. The test results show that the model ships with and without the stern bulb give better propulsive performance by adopting larger propeller diameter, and that the model ship with stern bulb gives a little smaller BHP than that without stern bulb.
