Our previous study showed that Colloidal Platinum Nanoparticles (CPN) have significant effects as a pretreatment agent to improve the 4-META/MMA-TBB resin/dentin bond strength. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of Colloidal Gold Nanoparticles (CGN) on resin/dentin adhesion. The pretreatment were performed as follows, "Control": Etching with 10-3 solution, "Etch-CPN": Etching then CPN application, "Etch-CGN": Etching then CGN application. After PMMA blocks were adhered by 4-META/MMA-TBB resin, the micro tensile bond strength test was performed. Although "Etch-CPN" showed significantly higher bond strength than "Control", there was no significant difference between the bond strength of "Etch-CGN" and "Control".
