A Synopsis of High Tensile Hull Structural Steels through the "Thermo-Mechanical Control Process (TMCP)" in Japan

In this paper, a brief introduction is made on the newly developed high tensile hull structural steels produced by means of thermo-mechanical control process, mainly from viewpoint of the manufacturing process and performance features as well as of processing problems associated with the application of high tensile steels to ship hull structures in a large scale.
