A Summary of "Guide to Protection against Corrosions of Ship's Hull and Equipment"

This report presents a summary of "Guide to Protection against Corrosions of Ship's Hull and Equipment", which was compiled in October 1986 as the results of a comprehensive work carried out by the Research Committee for Prevention of Ship Corrosion organized by the Society. In this Research Committee, an extensive investigation was made into the state of corrosion/wear of ship structures and on the corrosion prevention measures for new constructions as well as for in-service ships, including chemical tankers and product carriers. Economical assessment was also made of corrosion prevention measures.
