Computer Programme "NKBULK" for Structural Analysis of Bulk Carriers : Computer Programme "NKBULK"

The increasingly advanced performance and functions of computers today have resulted in the greater reliance on direct strength calculations in determining the scantlings of structural members of ships. Under such circumstances, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai is now developing a comprehensive hull structural analysis system well prepared for such moves of the age. A structural analysis system for bulk carriers has been completed under the programme name of "NKBULK" as an integral part of the Society's effort in coping with the situation, and a brief introduction of the system is presented in this report.
