本研究は、がん患児に母親が付き添って入院した場合(母児入院)、親が同胞(患児の兄弟姉妹)に行った説明の内容と説明の仕方(態度)を明らかにすることを目的とする。対象は、大学病院に母児入院した退院後2年以内の母親18名である。半構成的な面接を行い、聞き取り内容を分析した。その結果、1)18家族の全例で説明がなされていた。内容は親が認知した理解度に従ってなされていた。付き添うことに関しては25/25(100%)名、病気に関しては16/25名(64%)うち病名を告げることは6/25名(24%)になされていた。2)親の説明の態度は、子ども中心の態度と親中心の態度というふたつのパターンに分類できた。後者では親が感情のコントロールを欠いた態度が含まれていた。
Objectives: To elucidate the content of the explanations to the siblings by the parents when their mothers were rooming-in with child suffering from cancer,we interviewed 18 mothers using semi-structured method . All of them passed 2 years or less after the discharge from K. University hospital. The data analyzed revealed : (1) the parents explained in 18 of 18 families (100 %); (2)the attitudes of the parents were divided in 2, child centered and parent centered . The latter group included the parent's attitudes which lost the emotional control.
