Abstract

人の顔は社会生活を営む上で重要なコミュニケーションツールであり,特に表情が人に与える印象については様々な研究が行われている.その中でも本研究では,人の顔が他人に与える印象によってpositive typeとnegative typeに分類することができるという顔タイプに着目した.本研究では主観評価により顔画像をposidve typeとnegative typeに分類し,それぞれの物理的特徴の検証を行う.顔タイプの判別にはこれまでの研究で示されている,頬の起伏形状と唇の形状が最も重要な指標となる.それらの物理的特徴を検証した結果,頬の縦方向起伏形状と口角の向き及び唇の縦横比が顔タイプの判別に有用であることが示された.これらの物理的特徴を総合して顔タイプの判別を行った結果,男性・女性ともに8割以上の正答率を得ることができた.
