Abstract
128°YXLiNbO_3基板を用いたFM変調によるSAW攪拌の基礎的検討結果について報告する.SAWデバイスに印加する駆動周波数に応じて水中における超音波ビームのプロファイルが変化することを,音圧分布と流速分布の計測によって確認した.また,FM制御の掃引周波数を最適に設定すれば流体の攪拌性能が向上することを実験的に示した.本手法は,単一のIDTのみで流れ場を時空間的に変化させることが可能であり,攪拌効果のみでなく小型化をも達成できる.
This report presents the first investigation of surface acoustic wave (SAW) mixing controlled by frequency modulation (FM) on the 128°Y-cut X-propagation LiNbO_3 substrate. The basic theory that the driving frequency to a SAW device can change its ultrasound beam profile in water is verified by experimental measurements of the sound field and the flow field. Fluid mixing is efficiently improved by selecting the optimal sweep frequency of FM control. This method makes it possible to change the flow field temporally and spatially by just a single-IDT, therefore, not only mixing efficiency but also miniaturization of the device can be achieved.
